1 Peter 5:6-7

“6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”

Remember the baby giraffe story. The mother giraffe gives birth to the baby. The baby struggles, wobbles and finally gets to its feet. But just as the baby has managed its first triumph, the mom does the most ungracious and seemingly cruel thing, she kicks it down again, so it goes through the same struggle to stand. She wants the baby to remember how to get up.

So it is with adversity. When we are on our feet, feeling like we have achieved something, this is when adversity kicks us down because God wants us to remember Who it was that raised us up to begin with.

Keep rising up in Jesus’ name to show those around you that you are God’s own and you are saved by Grace alone. Go forth in Jesus’ name and proclaim the good news to everyone you know so that they may also be saved.

Thank you Trinity for the love and care you have given me and my family. I am thankful for our time together. Remember me as one who loved you dearly and prayed for the best for you.
