LCMS Ministry to the Armed Forces
From the LCMS Ministry to the Armed Forces.
We invite all of you to read the newsletter, which highlights what the church is doing for our military members. Providing ministry support to the armed forces is a big undertaking and the LCMS, along with our congregations worldwide, has taken on the challenge.
From The So Help Me God Site
In this issue of So Help Me God from the LCMS Ministry to the Armed Forces, readers are encouraged to consider their identity that is found in the cross of Jesus Christ. The Christian identity is one of contrast — the “sinner/saint dichotomy.”
Nonetheless, Christians are a people who live in hope as they wait on the promise that has already been fulfilled.
In addition, a road map to excellence in Christian leadership is provided based on the Magnificant, or Mary’s Song, taken from Luke 1:51–53. From these verses, Martin Luther identifies the “Six Works of God.”
The newsletter also includes online resources that can help us grow in Christ.
